Auto Hexagonal Pure CSS Grid Layout

This demo is an experiment to see the power of CSS without having to resort to other languages or tools to get something as cool as a honeycomb of rich hexagons.

The title “auto” refers to the fact that everything is a function of the value of the CSS custom property or variable --Nhexa which determines how many hexagons are placed in each row. Everything changes with it, because it is the basis for other “custom properties”.
